Like Two Birds of a Feather

Okay, it has been a while. I went home for Thanksgiving last week. It was a good time. I am now all into the Christmas spirit. I am listening to Christmas music, drinking peppermint hot cocoa, hanging out, you know, the usual.

Friday night Britt and I went downtown with Matt. It was way fun! We ended up back at Liz's watching American Beauty. Good times had by all. Really, Matt is like Aiden from SATC. Kind of cool, that one. Basically I am not happy with my life right now, but I am a happy person. I just tune out my life and do what I want. It's not good. Anyway, I am kinda excited to go home again for Chrsitmas. I think that's all I have for now.

Okay, Joe recently informed me that The Darkness, the genius creators of the song quoted in this title, are not in fact from the 80s, but instead just a couple years old. I was unaware of that.

I have found that this semester I am especially smiley. I will be walking by myself somewhere and I'll think of something that makes me smile and I'll just be walking and grinning. People who see me must think I'm nuts, but really I'm just happy thinking about funny stuff that happens to me.

So, I need some new music. I am quite bored with the songs on my iPod. If you have suggestions, please let me know.

I am way excited about the visit from the mom. She's awesome. Friday I am going to Meelee-walk-eh (Algonquin for "The Good Land"). I'm having dinner with the mom and her friends from middle school - talk about a guaranteed good time :)

So, tonight at midnight the one and only Vineet Sudame turns 21. Finally. Awesome! State Street Brats, here we come!!!

Recently I have not been sleeping nearly as much as I should be. It seems like something always comes up that is more important than rest. For the remainder of this week, I am planning on laying low.

My mom is coming this weekend. That should be a good time - everyone get ready :)

So Date Party is in less than 2 weeks and I am lacking both dress and date. That's a bad day. I am so sick of this semester, it's crazy. I can't believe this is the 7th time I've done this. Is anyone else freaked out by that? Yeah, kinda weird.

I don't have anything especially worthwhile to say, so that's all for now.

You Touch my Tra la la?

So I had a fairly entertaining and minimally productive weekend. Friday night I did all of my laundry, yay! Burton and I went to Woodman's where we proceeded to buy several bottle of random beer. Then Bonnie, Burton and I drank the random beer at my apartment. One of the beers was Belgian and it was called "Delerium Nocturnum" how could we not try it? It was gross. We also had some pumpkin flavored beer, that was awesome.

While drinking this beer, we decided to watch American Pie 2 and make a drinking game out of it. Everytime a cuss word was said by any character, we all drank. We couldn't make it through the whole movie - enough said.

After the random beer and drinking game, we went to Dotty's and got a pitcher of Spotted Cow. We drank it, then went home and went to bed. Good times.

Saturday morning, I woke up to find tons of empty beer bottles on the table and a case of Honey Brown frozen in the freezer. Good thing I put it in there to quickly chill then forgot about it.

Saturday, Bonnie and I went shopping. She bought an entire bedroom furniture set for her new apartment. So solid.

Saturday night was the Masquerade Crush Party. Woo hoo! One of my crushes came, it was a good time. Around midnight I headed back to Sigma Pi with Rowan and Marsh. We hung out with Bingyi for a while and Don. I for sure played "Magic the Gathering" the card game with Don and Rowan. Crazy stuff - I still have no idea how it works. I convinced the boys to play euchre (YAY!) so Rowan and Don played Magic and euchre at the same time. Justin helped Panell and Rowan play euchre because they hadn't played before. Rowan and I got out butts kicked, but oh well. It was a good time.

Yesterday was slating. It was so intense!!!! I am really happy with the decisions we made though. Congrats to the new Theta officers :)

Joe and I saw The Legend of Zorro last night. It was TERRIBLE.

Now I remain under-rested and over-programmed. At least chapter was yesterday so I can take a nap after Panhel this afternoon.

Okay, so, I made Thanksgiving dinner!!!! It's fabulous, I'm fabulous, and I am loving life right now. So exciting!!!! My apartment smells delicious. I am going to drink margaritas later at the White Horse, hopefully with really awesome people :) Even though I am failing French, I am really happy. I am so much less stressed right now than I have been all semester. I am really excited for this weekend, yay! Okay, so that's about all I know, and I am currently listening to the Venga Boys - Boom Boom Boom Boom..... wow.

I totally heard Blue by Eiffel 65 on the radio today. Do they say "if I were green I would die"?
